How every story works

The same calm path, every night

Each story lasts 8 to 10 minutes and follows four steps that help busy little bodies slow down.

  1. Step 1

    Breathe

    Willow, our storyteller, invites your child to take a slow, deep breath in… and let it go.

  2. Step 2

    Wiggle check

    A playful check from toes to nose to shake out the last wiggles and snuggle into bed.

  3. Step 3

    The story

    A cosy adventure with no scary moments. Even the T. rex is calm and friendly.

  4. Step 4

    Drift off

    The words grow slower and softer, sleepy, safe and warm, as the story fades away.

Short on time? Grown-ups can switch off the breathing and wiggle check.

Their name, said gently

Type your child’s first name and Willow says it softly five times in every story, in her calm, unhurried voice.

  • Hear it first. Play their name before bedtime to check it sounds just right.
  • Fix it in seconds. Spell it how it sounds, with capitals for the strong part, like SHIV-awn.
  • Bedtime never breaks. If their name can’t be made, the story plays with “little one” instead.
